Selah: Center for Grief and Loss

Counseling - Comfort - Support - Education - Consultation

Through mourning, healing can take place.

Grief impacts us all…

Recognizing that grief affects the body, mind, and spirit, we are committed to honor one’s grief journey through witnessing grief, providing support, education, heartfelt stories, and offering grace.

What does it mean to “Selah”?

“Selah” is an invitation to pause and reflect. That’s what all those small moments can do, create a pause. When your world has been shattered, or as mine had, I needed to pause. I needed the world to stop.

So, Selah, pause and reflect, with a support group, a therapist, a dear friend or family member, a spiritual leader, or a pet. Maybe pondering words out loud is difficult, so journal and create space that continues to honor not only your grief, but your beautiful loved one.

For me, David becomes my Selah, I pause, reflect, honor, and remember him.

This site stems from deep loss as well as the desire to help others - knowing that one can see some glimmers of light even in darkness. Each of us can be a light for another and I am hopeful you can find glimmers of light here.

Each of us has a story to share, and we have had the privilege of hearing so many stories from others. Our organization represents the stories of many. The stories of their loved ones and the journey of grief and healing that follows.
