Suicide Bereavement Group

Currently, we offer a Suicide Bereavement Support Group. The group meets on the third Monday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The group meets virtually via Zoom. All those impacted by the suicide death of a loved one are welcome to join the group. These group sessions are free. Prior to attending, and to obtain a Zoom link invitation, please contact the facilitator, Dr. Deb Semmelroth via e-mail: drdeb@selahgrief.net or call/text: (218) 590 - 6877.

Facilitated by a licensed psychotherapist with special training and experience supporting survivors of suicide, loss, and bereavement. The group sessions take on an open format where the participants can bring their current needs to the group. The group will discuss grief and loss as it pertains to the needs of each individual group. Additional discussions involve grief reactions, resources, ways to express emotions related to the grieving process, and time to offer supportive ideas to one another.

The group gathers in community for the purpose of gaining support, resources, validation, and connections with others who share the same loss. Community gathering also allows us to offer and receive compassion and grace.
